Are there sidewalks, driveways, etc. Truck can damage concrete. NURSERY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE.
Truck can leave ruts depending on the degree of ground moisture. Truck does carry 8 sheets of plywood; this will allow trees to be planted up to 32' from curb with no major visible ruts.
Slopes:  Less than 10 degrees side to side.
Obstacles:  Curbs. Ditches, bushes, buildings, other trees, overhead utilities, fences, etc.
Backyards:  This concerns accessibility.  Truck needs 11-13' gate opening, depending on the degree of turning radius.  (Sometimes questions arise as to, or if truck can be maneuvered to backyards, contact operator.

For Hourly rated jobs (Contract): a deposit, IN ADVANCE of $175.00 is required for the 1st hour,
F.O.B. Colonial Nursery. This is non-refundable. Additional hours are $150.00 ea..

Big John Tree Care

All transplanted trees need some care , do not assume that because the tree is large that it will survive on its own with little or no care.

• A thorough soaking is needed weekly until the ground freezes hard.  Include a mild root stimulator the first couple of times you water the tree in the fall & then again in the spring.
• Tree Wrap is just as important as watering.  The easiest & one of the best methods of wrap for 4-6? trees is 4?or 6? ADS non-perforated tubing.  Get a piece 4-5? long & slit it vertically.  Place around tree trunk.  This will help prevent borers, sun scald, frost cracking, rodent damage, & will even help prevent deer from chewing on the bark.
• Or use the “Ace” bandage type, wrap by 1st of November and remove in late March. Colonial recommends one of these wrapping methods for the first 3-5 years.
